Technique Tuesday!

Today I'm going to show you a TECHNIQUE!!!!!
We're going to Make & Use a MASK!
A complete list of supplies (with Item #'s) will be available at the end of this post!

Decide what shape you'd like to use for your image.
I chose a Heart from the Hearts Framelits.
Cut the image out of your 'extra' cardstock...where you would like your image to be on your card.  (The paper is 1/4 inch taller than your card to help keep ink off your fold when stamped...keep this in mind when placing your shape.)
Now you have your MASK!

Place your mask over the front of your folded card.
Ink up your background stamp.
I'm using the Positively Chevron Background Stamp & the Coastal Cabana Ink pad!

Stamp your background over your MASK!
Press firmly...without rocking & hold for 6-10 seconds.

Remove your MASK.  Your image might be a little 'rough' around the edges.
This gives it character!!  Enjoy the 'different-ness' of stamping through a cardstock mask!

Choose a greeting or sentiment and another ink color to add to your card.  I chose 'I Miss You Already' from Really Good Greetings & Chocolate Chip ink.

Choose a small punch and a coordinating color.
I chose the Small Heart Punch & Strawberry Slush Cardstock.

Punch out your accent!  (a small butterfly or flower would be awesome choices as well!)

Use a small drop of 2-Way Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue to place the accent & accent it with a Rhinestone
(or more if you'd like!!)

Ta-da!!!!!  Here is your finished card!
(& you can save your mask to use again later!)
