Seriously!?!

The very first time I saw the new Ronald McDonald House Charities stamp set in the 2015-2016 Annual Catalog, I knew I had to try something different than what was 'expected' with this awesome set!
Then my Upline posted a pic of an upside-down ice cream cone...asking if anyone had tried it yet, I knew what I was going to do!
This design went through many changes in my head before I even started working on it...& then a few more changes once I had the supplies in front of me!

The 'Seriously' stamp is one of my favorites from my many Paper Pumpkin kits!
I LOVE my exclusive stamps that come in my kit every month...even if they are a surprise!
If you don't know about Paper Pumpkin Monthly Kits, they're ON SALE right now too! Enter SAVE50 in the Promo space when you subscribe & you will get your first 2 months at 50% off! (Offer expires June 10, 2015)
These colors are way more amazing in person! I used 2 of the New In Colors that are coming soon...Mint Macaron & Watermelon Wonder, along with a classic - Chocolate Chip!
(I'm sorry my pictures are soo dark...I really need to work on a better set-up for my photos.)
Having a baby in the NICU & almost needing to use the services that the Ronald McDonald House Charities offer, I always support them when I can! Stampin' Up! gives $3 of each Sprinkles of Life stamp set purchased directly to RMHC!
Bonus: you get an awesome stamp set too create beautiful this with!
(Here's my little man last year when he was just 1 day old!
He's almost 14 months old now!!)
If you need a supply list for this project, just let me know!
(I will try to get it up soon, but I'm too excited to do that right now...I just wanna share this card!)

Please remember to use Hostess Code BVWMRZKC when you place your order.

Graduation Challenge! #TGIFC03

Just a quick Graduation card for the #TGIFC03 Challenge this week!

I had no one to send Graduation cards to this year, so I hadn't made any in a while... I wanted to do something classic looking...so this design was born!

(I love it soo much that I may make a few for my first vendor event in June...even though most graduations will be past by then...maybe someone will want one for next year or someone they forgot to send a card to!?!)

I used a Gold Glimmer Brad, but I dipped it in Versamark ink, embossed it with gold embossing powder & then dipped it in the gold glitter while it was still warm!
Gotta love the SHIMMER!!!!!
I also hand-made the tassel with white Baker's Twine. Very difficult to do with such a teeny tiny tassel, but soooooo worth the work! (I will find an easier way to make these if I decide to do more than just a handful of them...)
This close-up is just to show the glitter (top stripe) vs the glimmer paper (bottom stripe & stars). I did burnish the glitter into some Sookwang tape...I think that helps it look a little nicer & it doesn't get caught on everything & fall off as easily.

Supply list is below. Be sure to ask if you have any questions!

A New Challenge!!!!! #TGIFC02

Ok...so this was totally LAST MINUTE! I came across this blog the other day & thought about entering their challenge this week...then I got busy & never made it back to work on a project. Tonight I sat down & thought I would whip something up, so I pulled up the site to double check the requirements...only to find out that submission ends TONIGHT! Oh no! I hadn't even started yet!

Could I get something done?!? Would it be worth posting if I threw it together too quickly?!? Was I setting myself up for disappointment?!? No, no & NO!!!

Of course I could do this! I work well under pressure & I LOVE a CHALLENGE!

Here is the sketch:
http://tgifchallenges.blogspot.com/

With it being the last day to enter, there were 45 entries ahead of mine...all of them gorgeous!
(Remind me again how I was going to make something original after looking at all this great inspiration?!?)

So...I did what I do best! I took the sketch, flipped it around & got to work!
Here is what I created:

I stamped the cup on Canvas Creations paper with Early Espresso ink.

& tied a knot after using a tag topped punch to make the decorative edge & hole.

I LOVE the way this turned out!

This coffee cup from Perfect Blend (Item #131392) is retiring. I'm sad to see it go! (If you would like to have it in your collection, be sure to order it before May 26th! You can order HERE & please use Hostess Code BVWMRZKC if you do!)

If you need a list of additional supplies I used, please let me know. I will try to update this post with a complete list as soon as I can.
Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you enjoy this card & come back to visit again soon!
~Cybil

P.S. It's taken me longer to get the photos uploaded into this post than it did to create the card, take the photos AND put the watermark on them...lol

My Very First...

Fire Brigade was the very first stamp set that I ordered from Stampin' Up!...all the way back in 2004! I knew I would use this set...eventually...with all the firemen in my family. It just took me a long time to actually USE it! But now that I have used it a few times, I love it even more!

Today was my brother's 30th birthday! This is the card I sent him.
I can't believe he's 30!
LOL

I also made this card & a set of 10 thank you cards without the black 'buffing' for a friends' son's 5th birthday on Saturday where we got to tour the local fire station & climb on a fire truck!

I love giving thank you cards to the parents of children who have invited us to their parties! The kids don't appreciate them as much, but the parents need a gift too! If I can help them spread some cheer to those that came to their child's party, then I'm doing my job as a crafter who firmly believes in the written word...especially HAND written!

Send those cards...brighten someone's day!
(You know how it feels to get a piece of mail that's not a bill...share that with someone!)

Happy 30th Birthday, 'Little' Brother! I love you & miss you!
~Cybil

P.S. Thanks for stopping by! It's also my Mom's birthday today...maybe I'll share her card later this week. ;)
